Voyage en Crète
En février 1999 voyage de 15 jours en Crète organisé de main de maître par ma mère.
On avait loué une voiture qui nous a permis, à partir d’Héraklion, de faire le tour de la Crète le long du rivage, de sillonner les collines intérieures couvertes d’oliviers et de visiter quelques monastères.
À cette saison de l’année peu de touristes fréquentaient les lieux.
J’avais apporté mon chevalet d’extérieur et je l’ai planté à différents endroits pour immortaliser les paysages rencontrés.

Crete is all in relief with a highest point, Mount Ida reaching 2456 meters. Rows of olive trees stand everywhere, in the valleys and on the slopes. I painted this landscape with olive trees in the foreground which stand out with their dark color against the rest of the landscape. At the bottom of the mountain ranges with fairly light colors in the distance.
