SMARTSHOP_CART_EMPTY

A port

In 2023 I returned to Morocco in the Middle Atlas for a watercolor course. We were accommodated in a magnificent inn located in the village of Boutaghrar and run by a cousin family of our guide Jamal. This family was very warm and welcoming and the dishes that the women cooked for us were delicious.

We created a travel diary with the sites visited in the surrounding area as well as different characters. For the characters dressed in traditional attire, they were friends or family members who posed. Short exposures of a quarter of an hour which required a lot of observation to be able to paint them. We also went to see a souk in a small village. The souk was very lively. Everyone placed their seat in front of a stall and soon a gaggle of children surrounded us, very curious to see us paint. I have dazzling memories of it.
